Mothers day

May 20, 2013 § 2 Comments

Mothers day weekend was so much fun. I worked in the flower shop where I worked before Maisie came along. Last year mothers day was my favorite weekend in the shop and it was just as fun this year. It’s so busy, there are so many arrangements to be made. I love the frenzy of it. And most of the senders are happy. Unlike valentines day where some of the messages can just be a bit creepy!! The flowers are beautiful also at the minute – peonies, garden roses, lilacs and more. Here’s a couple of pictures of little arrangements really to go out:

Also we had great lunches. On Saturday it was Thai. Yum! I’m pretty rubbish with chopsticks, but where there’s a will there’s a way. On Sunday it was pizza from the All star pizza bar in Inman square. The Chilli Relleno pizza was delicious.

Unfortunately a busy weekend in work coincided with the first night we had a real babysitter for Maisie, as we had a physics ‘do’ to go to with Matthews work. It was really (unexpectedly) good and we ended up staying late having drinks with some of others, including an older Irish couple who were great chat! Luckily I had lots of snacks and coffee to boost my energy in the morning!

After I finished work Matthew spoiled me with some presents ‘from Maisie’, then Matthew, Maisie and I went to the local pub for a drink, and did what we always do, and bought our dinner there too, it was great!

Very pretty… couldn’t resist sneaking a peek at your other posts while I was here. Floral arrangements were lovely… lucky mothers to receive such pretties. Sounds as if you had a lovely Mother’s Day.
